Need a precise cut — not just rough trimming? Here's how to trim audio to the exact millisecond in your browser using a high-zoom waveform editor.

Most online audio trimmers are built for rough cuts. Drag a handle to somewhere near the right spot, export, done. That's fine for trimming silence from the start of a recording.

The zoom problem

Precision editing requires zoom. A waveform that shows a 3-minute file at full width gives you very little resolution per pixel. Most online tools let you zoom to 128× — enough to see individual seconds, but not milliseconds.
